Typography with a Twist
A few months ago, as I was sitting at an airport gate waiting for my airplane
to arrive, my eyes drifted across the temporary walls the airport had put up
to hide an ongoing construction project. In addition to the usual "Excuse our
dust" messages, the wall sported the following text:
The clash between the calm, conservative, trustworthy image the airport
projected with this typeface and the fun-loving, "sometimes you gotta break
the rules" image that Burger King likes to wear was enough to make me laugh.
It also got me thinking about the possibilities. Here are some more unlikely
logos.
